Emily & Ed Wedding Day Preview

Carlton Club, London

So excited to share with beautiful London wedding, ‘Covid style’. Emily and Ed weren’t going to let Coronavirus or the crappy change from 30 to 15 guests ruin their day. With a lot of determination to keep their beloved guest list of 30, they pulled it forward by 2 weeks, all in the space of 24 hours!! What absolutely LEGENDS.

It was the MOST wonderful day, I almost forgot that we were in the midst of a Global Pandemic (aside from the silly masks in the Church). We had a lovely girlie morning at 11 Cadogan Gardens in Chelsea in the LARGEST suite I’ve ever seen. So much space to safely work and for the girls to get ready together. Their ceremony was equally lovely, although I wasn’t allowed to take ‘any’ photos in the Church, I managed to sneak in a few without causing any disruption (so glad I took the risk despite being a little terrified by the vicars wrath).

After their ceremony, guests took taxis into Central to The Carlton Club; a private members club where they only host a handful of weddings each year (they should definitely do more, it was so nice!). Guests enjoyed some bubbly in the most lavish of reception rooms, and we took to the streets for some really beautiful city style couple portraits.

A 6 course dinner was then served with some wonderful speeches throughout. Emily, Ed and all their super welcoming guests enjoyed a wonderful evening, as did I. Thank you again for letting me be a part of such a special occasion – it meant the world.

I must end with this rather apt quote:

GINNY WEASLEY: “It seems silly doesn’t it? A wedding. Given everything that’s going on.”

HARRY POTTER: “Maybe that’s the reason to have it. Because of everything that’s going on”.
