Sharing with you all this review of ‘A Little Bit Of Rough’ who put us up over the May Bank Holiday weekend in celebration of Mum and Dad’s 60th Birthdays. By NO means is this ‘rough’ but a quiet peaceful and LUXURY get away to the countryside. Nestled in amongst the rolling fields of Rutland will you find this gorgeous set up by Sarah and Nick. Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. From the hospitality, the decor, the location, the views – EVERYTHING was just perfect.

Rutland is also only a mere 2 hours from our home in West London – I do LOVE an easy and quick journey! ‘Are we there yet’ springs to mind!! We were blessed with fab weather for our stay – clouds to begin with so we’d light our arga to warm our beautiful canvas lodge which we also used to cook scrambled eggs. By the afternoon our lodge and our faces were warmed by the sun and once again, we’d light our arga in the evenings to keep toasty or light a fire in the fire pits to make smores!

Love a good bath do you? Well our lodge’s bath was BETTER than my own at home… And yes – we had hot water! I honestly cannot recommend this place enough! Even with poor weather this hidden gem would be just beautiful and with so many gorgeous historic towns on your doorstep AND ‘activity central’ Rutland Water – it’s the perfect holiday for friends and for families. A photo says a thousand words so I’ll stop going on about how AMAZING this place is (but really – it is AMAZING!!) and let you see for yourself…. P xxx
