FINALLY! I’ve done it! I’ve put together a collection of my favourite images of 2015 from my world that is Philippa Sian Photography.
Twenty Fifteen was a HUGE year for me in both work and personal life.
I got married! YAY! The best day of my life! I loved the build up, I LOVED the styling, the design, the ceremony, the hen weekend, the honeymoon… I could go on for days… The support and love shown from family and friends last year was incredible. I have SO MUCH LOVE for last year. It was just AMAZING!
I was also shortlisted as a finalist for the Best Wedding Photographer in London & the South East in The Wedding Industry Awards 2016. A huge delight, surprise and honour to be among so many truly talented photographers.
I had a lot of my work featured in fantastic wedding blogs, such as Perfect Wedding, Mr & Mrs Unique, Want That Wedding and B-Loved. I also joined Love My Dress‘ luxury wedding supplier directoy Little Book For Brides, which showcases the best suppliers in the industry. HUGE smile 🙂
I have also met some incredibly inspirational people this year. After my wedding, I knew it was time to really get focused on my photography business; what did I want it to be and how was I going to get there? Hours and hours and days of research found me all sorts of advice and ideas to explore, including The Chosen Wedding Collective. I went to The Hub run by Kiki from TCWC and it opened my eyes! I met many other incredible creatives in the wedding industry, from florists and dressmakers to stationers and like-minded photographers – of which many have now become friends.
The Hub gave me the inspiration and enthusiasm I needed to really start making what I imagined my beautiful business to be into something real and tangible. From there, I met Charlie, the founder of The Female Photographer’s Association, and immediately signed up to a 12 month mentoring programme called Shining Lights. It has turned my world upside down, and the support of the group is astounding and truly touching. I was happy with my business before I joined, but now I am EXCITED about the future and can really see where this is going.
One thing that has really stuck with me, is a quote from The Quiet Rabbit that Cat Hepple spoke about in her talk at The Hub. It underpins everything that I am and feel in life and in my work. It represents everything that I want to achieve, and will continue to inspire me through the next year.

Final thank you to all my beautiful and lovely couples for being just GORGEOUS, and to my good friend Zoe Collyer who makes photographing many beautiful weddings possible.
I can’t believe how far i’ve come in such a short amount of time. Here’s to a VERY exciting 2016. I can’t wait to show you all what’s in store….
